A free discussion for parents to learn more about the accomodations both traditional and non-traditional that can be made for students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or 504 Plans. There are ways to demonstrate what your child has truly learned rather than how well or poorly they can take a test.

Starting to think about what life will be like after high school? For students with special needs or learning differences... and their parents, early planning can make this transition much easier for everyone.
This Thursday, the Woburn Department of Special Education is hosting a free discussion over dinner on the "Nuts and Bolts of Transitional Planning" to teach students and parents many of the elements that need to be considered to develop a transitional plan that is right for you.
Topics being covered will include tips for students, tips for parents, post-secondary programs, adult services, and planning for life after high school.
Students and parents are encouraged to attend. Free pizza will be served.
